Well, looks like it's my turn this week

Anything goes in this thread (as long as DPReview's general standards are not violated): any camera; any subject; any post-processing; etc. Recent images you have created in the past week or two are much preferred but not required. A little background on where, how and why you made the image(s) you posted would add interest. By posting here, you are inviting constructive criticism and general discussion of your images. Please share your expertise by providing constructive criticism on photos others have posted.

We look forward to seeing your recent photos and reading everyone's comments.

And here´s an old stable in the same area.

A couple of hours driving on Friday so I could have a bit of quality bonding time with this little chap.

We collect him on Saturday and then the "work" begins. This is going to be fun.

Growing old is inevitable; growing up, however, is optional.
And I have opted out.

Both nice images but maybe not abandoned but summer place?

What's the big deal? Why couldn't you have just taken him Friday? He's so cute!!!

The first image is very impressive. It looks like a set for a fantasy movie. Love the colors, the tonality, the composition and the dark background which makes the shot even more dramatic.

Dew always makes a photo great!!! You have the eye.

The path leading in to first house was blocked by several fallen trees so it looked like noone had been there this summer at least. At the other place the roof has caved in on the main building.
Good reasons to assume they are abandoned..

The "big deal" Bill is that this is a pedigree dog bred by a UK Kennel Club authorised and registered breeder. And, entirely for the benefit of the dog, under KC rules it is not to be released to a purchaser until it is, at a minimum, seven weeks old. Young Erik is seven weeks old next Thursday.

And yes he is a gorgeous little thing. And his dad (2017) and grandad (2016) have both won Best of Breed at Crufts dog show (serious stuff) so it looks like I might have to learn some ring craft. Should keep me out of mischief.

David

He is so precious. The American Kennel Club has similar rules here, between 7 and 8 weeks of age. But doing the math on Rosie’s birthdate June 13, 2009 to when we got her on July 27,2009...she was only six weeks old 😮 Allie was almost four months old, Sammy was about 12 weeks old, and Sunny was nine weeks.

Not bad considering the rough lighting conditions...

Really nice capture!

But I'd have edited out that structure in the background between an ocean and a guy, imho.

Yes, that! Otherwise it looks like he is sitting on that thing. ;-)
