Ken Wheeler says "X-T3 is the fastest auto-focusing camera I've ever had my hands on"

Well regardless of his undeniable egomaniacal, blow-hard status, his Flickr account has a few shots which seem to support his claim of fast auto-focus for the X-T3.

Isn't that just old news....? I can't hardly believe that anyone which is serious interested in the X-T3 didn't watch this video from Michael Damböeck
Yup!

I saw that about a week before Ken posted his claim. Michael didn't seem to have any problems with AF-C and tracking.

I was addressing the allegation that Ken didn't shoot any images. In this case it seems that he does, and there is some evidence that he was able to make good use of the AF-C and tracking.
The question isn’t that he doesn’t shoot, it’s that he doesn’t shoot well enough to know what he is doing, that skateboarding photo is mediocre at best, basic amateur stuff

He obviously reads this forum. He went to my Instagram and attacked me there after I posted in this thread. Charming.

I'll reserve comments on AP here even though I have a pretty strong opinion of my own. That said, I have deleted a number of posts containing screen shots due to inappropriate language, and will continue to do so. Please be cognizant of forum rules before posting screen shots or quoting another site.

From what I understand he does photography, even professional product photography, and he has a rather large online portfolio of artistic images too, though he rarely shows anything in his youtube videos. I take his videos for what they are, subjective opinion from someone way more experienced and knowledgeable than most of these ”sponsored” reviewers (loved the way he called out the Northrups on their Canon-funded Hawaii trip). Sometimes I disagree with him, but he’s more worth listening to than 99% of the other youtubers out there. And if you’ve seen any of his ”real life” videos where he actually engages with other people, you’d notice his personality is quite different from some of his youtube rants.
As long as he’s talking up my camera brand he’s all good..

Has Fujifilm fallen behind so badly that they need Ken to peddle their gear?

Wasn’t there a decision made to delete posts including videos of his due to the way he abused members on dpreview exactly like this?
I don't know that links to his overall content have been banned per se. We try to treat each post (and links therein) on their own merits. If someone links to Wheeler's material and it conforms to forum rules, then I'd have a hard time playing censor here, regardless how I might personally feel about him or his material. I assume the forum would rather than Bob and I not take on the role of censors except in more egregious cases or where forum rules are being stretched or violated.

Must be something in the air (or just a new camera release), but once again, I'm having to plan censor here and delete posts. I'm trying hard to avoid bans, and I realize Ken is a controversial guy, but folks, please TONE DOWN THE RHETORIC (emphasis intentional) or else there will be a combination of locked threads and bans forthcoming rather than simply a deleted post or two.

Meanwhile, this train wreck has obvious run its course. Time to lock 'em up yet again.
