Hello Sigma Shooters:

Another week and time to show your images using Sigma hardware, remember all Sigma cameras and lenses are welcome to participate. Please try to limit your post to 3 images and give your post a title so that comments will be properly directed.

Shoot some photo this week and by all means have some fun! :>)

If you can see the light, you can photograph it

Very nice and smart capture! Was this shot in DC-crop mode?

Spring blossoms and everywhere you look, there are bees.

Trying out the new tripod collar for the 100-400.

Hi otumay: Thanks for the comments. This was shot with the sd Quattro H and the 24-35 mm Art lane. It was shot in portrait mode and part of the foreground cropped to tighten the composition. It was shot full frame.

Larry, having seen 33mm in EXIF data, I mistakenly assumed that the lens used was 18-35mm Art (DC); that's why I asked whether you used it in crop mode. 24-35 rocks.

I've been doing some housekeeping on my backup drives, and since I have no new pix to show, here are some old ones:

When driving through Yosemite, this is one of my favorite spots to stop for a short hike. It's less than an hour from the Tioga Pass entrance station, but very lightly used:

I think you found the gold! Nice images, thanks for sharing ;)

These maddeningly exceptional! I'm going to eat my DP3M.

Wonderful work with the flowers, George.

Did you use focus stacking to make these images?

I've had a fever for a while, so I've only been able to go onto the roof to take some pics.

Here's one with the DP3M, the detail in the TIFF is amazing.

X3F to TIFF in SPP, then PS, Histogram, Highlights and Shadows, Colour Balance in the shadows, then JPEG.

The DP3M is the closest I've come to reproducing the quality and look I used to get when shooting Leica M and Kodachrome.

I sincerely hope SIGMA release another Merrill sensor based camera like the DP series.

Cheers,

Fred
