I am shooting the Sony A73. I am getting closer to my decision Batis 18 mm

So

Would you return or sell the Batis 18 mm if you could get your $1500 back tomorrow.

If No, great

If yes would you take the money and run / put it to another lens or sometime non photography related

If you bought the 16-35 GM 2.8 effectively this lens would cost like $700 new with your $1500 instant rebate as the money was already spent

Would you buy the 16-35 F 4.0 and go for a nice $200 dinner with the extra cash?

Are you totally happy with your 18 mm

Solution
Happy with my Batis. It has great image quality, it’s as wide as I need, it’s reasonably light, and I’m fine with cropping, so I effectively consider it to be am 18-27 zoom...

But I should mention that I personally have a strong preference for primes vs. zooms.
Fair enough. i am actually on the verge of pulling the trigger today and ordering it. I am like 90% there...

I think with the 24-105 the 16-35 I am only getting 16 mm and 20 mm but have 24 mm SO

18 mm vs 16 mm vs $$$ and of course F-stop etc..

I think the 18 mm makes sense and I am about there. Agh.....
If you've already got the 24-105, and don't need something in the 24-35 range, I think the Batis is a no-brainer. But that's just my opinion.
I need a autofocus option. It is a deal breaker. I thought that lens was MF only
The Batis lenses are autofocus but can be run as manual focus, too. Loxias are manual focus only.

I use it seldom, basically when I need the extra F stop - For that reason only I could think about that...

No - It's just a question of how much I use it...

I opted for the SEL1224G instead as the focal length range suited me better and IQ is also excellent, comparable for my "kind of work"... :)

No, I sold it when I purchased the SEL1224G - It had very good IQ but the lenses I now own are in another IQ league.

Yes, very happy every time I use it - IQ is excellent - No question about it! ;)

All the best,
Pedro
