Still haven't quite got this one right. At least there's a lot of flexibility in the post processing. :D

Really nice pics, but you must have been to a different Scotland than I was.

In Victoria, Australia of course.

Sadly it must be nearly 50 years since I have been there.

A great selection of subjects Martin. I am keen to photograph a Gang-Gang Cockatoo but have to content myself with the White-browed Scrubwren.

Keep them coming.

Looks like a great area for a photo tour !

The colours in the first one look so far off that maybe a conversion to B&W might be better ? I think it would be better starting from the original though.

What fun!

Admit I was expecting elderly athletes from the title and then, further language fun with the Gang Gang (so good we named him twice). Handsome fellow/gal, that.

Great set and surely an interesting place to explore.

Cheers,

Rick

Nice shots and a beautiful part of the world. I have yet to put my hiking boots on and appreciate properly... one day.

Just needed a bit more work. I think it's close now. Needs some local adjustments, but DXO is poor for that.

And the original. It's impressive how much these files can be pushed.

Looks like a great place. Love the rock formations as well as those very Austrailian birds.

Tell me more about silent street please. How was it formed?
I admit, I didn't pay too much attention to it at the time.

It looks like it's in the top of a fold, running along the fold axis and cutting down through the sandstone layers. Therefore it's probably a tension joint. Grand Canyon is similar.

Check out "Joints around a Fold" on this page to see what I mean.

I think you've over-done the HDR-look; how about something in-between?
