Love the shot of the fawns.

Very cool treatment on that silhouette.

A nice pair of photos and excellent catching the two fawns together!

Real nice bird photos! Especially like the first one.

A couple of Aussie birds ... first one shot in the Northern Territory last month (still wading through 3000 pics from the trip! :( )

Kookaburra - NT version. A relative of the Kingfisher I believe but larger

Excellent bug work - especially that first grasshopper - a gorgeous bug and beautiful shot too. The fat caterpillar is interesting as I don't often see ones that chubby - not sure if he's really big, or that's just how close you were!

Even more excellent bugs. I'm really getting tempted to start really going out looking for bugs when I see the last two posts. Of course, I also love the chipmunk and deer - and that Cooper's hawk is wonderfully crisp and detailed...nice when they cooperate in an urban/suburban environment like that!

Very nice use of silhouette and sunset colors...I love distinct bird and wildlife silhouettes.

Adorable fawns, and nice composition with a little distance and some of the surrounding landscape...the buck looks strong and building a very nice rack - lovely shots!

All very nice and looks like a good spot too - the osprey shots are my favorites here, most especially that launch from the nest where you catch that perfect intensity in their eyes coming right at the camera.

Would that be a blue-winged kookaburra as opposed to the more commonly shot 'laughing' kookaburra? I wish we had these guys on our continent...we're low on kingfisher selection as it is, but these large guys would be great to have around!

That second bird is a beauty - interesting how a black bird can look so ornate!

Great series tfs.

Incredible shots, Steve! Thanks for sharing. I don't have the patience to get shots like that even though I have the same camera and lens.

Very cool looking birds! We have nothing like them in the US.

Great shots Scott! I especially like the Osprey photos! The first one coming towards you is fantastic! Regards, Dean
Thank you. I appreate your comments. I am working on my technique and trying to improve. Fortunately I enjoy taking the photos.

I have just semi retired and this is a hobby I enjoy. Much to learn.
