Is it okay, to start another theme thread? This was my favorite photo moment on an afternoon earlier this week in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. I was shooting for our camera club theme challenge: "Bridge". I drove 125 miles north to Sturgeon Bay in Door County, remembering an old metal bridge near my grandparents' former home. Very luckily, they were docking a tour boat at the end of the day's tours and the bridge opened to let it through. Sometimes a person gets lucky! Shot on EXR Auto/HR.

A tourist boat passes under the Bridge of the Gods at Cascade Locks, Oregon.

Formerly, there was a natural rock bridge over the Columbia River in the same location; its existence was recent enough for it to have “survived” in local Native American oral history as The Bridge of the Gods. That suggests that the rock formation was probably not a victim of the Missoula Floods (the most recent of which probably predated human habitation in the Columbia Gorge).

The execrable “Major Motion PictureWild (2014) reportedly concludes with a scene shot at the same location, perhaps within the month or so after I took this shot. (When the movie was released, there were stories in the local press noting that the closing scenes were shot in Cascade Locks, so when it was released on DVD, we rented it to watch it at home; but it was so awful, we shut down the viewing a few minutes into the film and returned the DVD.)

That's a lovely shot, with a full range of tones, nice composition and colors.

Really lovely light and color. Looks like a beautiful trail. Is that path normally worn by creatures other than human? (Horses, deer or cattle?) I like the curve of it.

Lovely. Unfortunately, ACR isn't an option for me after all. It only comes as a PS plug-in, and I'm not a user of PS.

I have been using ACR for a couple of years now, but before of that I used for a few years Raw File Converter EX 2.0 powered by Silkypix and I was very happy with it and it is free to download from Fujifilm.com

Thanks Papa, a trail mainly used by sheep. The light was exceptional that morning, and is above low cloud which filled the valley.

Our friend Bobo come to 'help' my wife in the garden.

And I think this one is funny as she obviously moved between me taking first and second pressures on the shutter release.
