What about all the Nikon talk in the Sony forum?

It seems for the last week or two the bulk of traffic in the Sony FF E-Mount talk forum has been about Nikon MILC.

Is this informative, argumentative, trolling or plain boring
 
Fine by me. Many folks in this forum got here via ownership of other brands than Sony and Minolta. A larger market share makes any mfr more stable in the long run.

Its easy enough to pick other subjects to read if the Nikon linkage causes you psychic pain, in some way :-)
 
I don't mind, it's kind of relevant because it's the first competitor for Sony in the mirrorlesss full-frame arena. However, I checked "Boring" because there's not much to report yet about the pertinent Nikon stuff.
 
It is "keeping an open mind", in my opinion.

Unfortunately that choice is not listed on your query :(

It sometimes gets boring to badmouth Sony so we look for a suitable alternative.

It’s not about the camera itself. The poll is about the sheer volume of posts about it.

I agree that the specs are not officially confirmed but they will be on the 23d, so we don't have to wait that long for the exact details. And on the 24th I might go to the shop Scandinavian Photo here in Stockholm and check the new Nikon stuff out IRL as they have together with Nikon invited all their customers to do so.

No it is not. The volume of posts is a given, you don't need a poll to determine that.

Your poll aims at the REASONS why people post about Nikon gear in a Sony forum. "Keeping an open mind about other manufacturers" is a possible answer, me thinks :) (so are the other four choices of course, although few will admit to trolling).

Honestly to me is more into the boring to trolling categories. Why? Because I come to this forum to read about Sony stuff. We all know how to click on the Nikon forum area if I wanted to read about their products so why keep posting over and over about other camera brand here? ;)
 
There's no "Who cares?" option for voting. :)

I haven't read any threads on it. I know it's coming, there are no hard specs, and even when it comes out, I'm so happy with my A7RIII, I won't be looking at a different camera for a while. I don't understand how people can go on and on about something we know so little about. But to each their own, and I'll stick to the threads where I have an interest.

Then there are those of us who are STILL waiting to be able to buy it! I had a “notify me of availability” thingy filed with one of my local camera stores....and at some point today it came in, I got the email....but by the time I saw the email and followed the link to check the store and the camera’s availability, the thing was already sold out. Sigh...... This is one POPULAR camera! I seriously doubt that Sony will be dropping its price any time soon.
