Sekonic claims their L-858D is the first flash meter that can measure HSS flash. I'm not aware of any others with this ability. Will a flash exposure meter accurately measure the light from a flash if that flash is shooting in high speed sync (HSS) mode?

That sounds different than measuring HSS flash. As it happens, today, I attended a workshop in the Netherlands by Frank Doorhof and he was using this light meter. It was able to record flash speeds faster than 1/8000 sec. He was testing new flash equipment from Hensel.
