I've been scouring the settings and manual, but can't seem to find the DCI/cinema 4k setting. Where is this located? I figured it would be under Rec Format or Rec Quality. I see 4k at 30 and 24...but they are all 3840x2160.

Download the Advanced Features manual and search for "cinema". It is not available for AVCHD or standard MP4 recording formats.
  1. Set the video recording format to [MP4 (LPCM)] or [MOV]
  2. Set the recording quality to [C4K/100M/24p]
You should get Cinema 4K: 4096x2160@24fps

Finally figured it out. You have to change the setting where you change NTSC / PAL options...on the FZ2500 there is an option for Cinema. That did it....wow, it’s really hidden!

No problem with Final Cut Pro X on my Mac

Goto Setup menu and select System frequentie. Here you find 24.000Hz (CINEMA)
