I went on a guided trip through scotland a couple of weeks ago and was wise enough to pack my full spectrum A7 with 590nm and 720nm filter. Most of the shots are from the isle of Skye which I wholeheartedly recommend for anyone who is interested in rough landscapes. All shots were taken with the kit zoom. As you can see it really breaks down in the corners. Hopefully the announced 28-75 tamron will be usable for IR.

I'm still new to infrared and b/w in general, so critique is welcome.

Lovely shots. May I ask where you picked up your 590nm filter from (currently looking for an 82mm for my 1635 which is proving difficult/expensive to find!).

All shots were made with a 720nm filter (hoya R72)

I got my 590nm filter from B+W, IIRC they just call it a red filter.

Did a search for ir and came across these gorgeous shots, so inspiring to see. Thank you for posting. On my iPad the images are just lovely, can’t really see the corner difference. My camera goes off Monday for a full spectrum conversion. I loved shooting ir film, but gets crazy expensive fast, even using the old lenses with the red markings. I’m looking forward to posting some i ages of my own. 😁

I have two sizes of lenses and it may go to three. I saw a behind the lens filter set up on youtube, looks like one smaller size fits all not sure how that works yet. I also remember seeing a woman shooting the Golden Gate. She was dropping square filters, reminded me of the old gelatines my dad had, into a holder on the front of the lens which might work for me. Wind was a factor, one went over the edge. Kolari and LifePixel look good and would work for me with step down rings, saw a hinged pair that looked interesting. The Kolari brand sell on eBay around $10 to $15 cheaper. Shopping is half the fun and i have a couple of weeks before the camera comes back :)
