My camera has ònly shot 5000 frames and I have to admit, it does not get much use. Today I discovered that slot 1 does not recognise either if my SD cards, whereas slot 2 has no problems. I have the camera set so that slot 2 acts as an overflow.

A little worried I am. Anyone got any ideas as to what could be wrong?

Look in there see if there aren't little plastic bits that might have come off a card, hard to see admittedly. Try yet another card. That's all I've got.

Remove battery, flip switch on, wait 10 seconds, flip switch off, put battery in and try the card again. Check you firmware too.
tried that. No luck. Firmware says A 1.04.......B 1.05 and C 2.005. Not sure what this means.

I' d try re- inserting the card into the slot a few times. It's possible that the contacts inside the camera got oxidized. If that doesn't work i'd try cleaning the contacts with electrical contact cleaner spray.

Good luck

Thanks for that. Have tried several different cards several times with no luck. Am considering a quick spray of wd40, but am a little worried about trying it. Any ideas?
