This is the kind of reviews that I really appreciate. Excellent photos, and some crops for pixel peeping. From this, we should know very well what to expect from this fine lens. I find this much more helpful than those tech orientated reviews of different quality that floats around everywhere!

Also, nice to see your daylight and aurora night pictures from Lofoten, Norway. ;-)

Thanks. I am always quite late with reviews, unless I post a 'first x days with the x' or a hands on review. Because like you said exactly: it's all about using the gear in the field.

Great reviews and photos! I have been eyeing this lens as I moved to FF and got ride of my 14mm Samyang.

Very jealous of your Aurora pics! I went to Kirkjfell this past February and stayed there for two nights only to get a very minimal showing.

Then you just have to come back. They call me the Kirkjufell whisperer. I've never been to Kirkjufell WITHOUT seeing an aurora at night

And many of my friends have been there dozens of times and have yet to shoot a good aurora there. Funny.
