***Mini Challenge #498*** Fur and/or Feathers

Cute dog but I'm worried that the leash isn't substantial enough to handle such a beast.. ;-)
I'm reminded of a funny incident during a summer holiday in the little village of Pompignan in the Gard region of southern France a few years ago. It was my job to get up early and walk down to the Bakers for breakfast bread and pastries , and every morning a dog sat patiently at the top of the steps leading up to the shop door. Having grown friendly with the baker we always chatted about this or that, so one morning I said: 'Je vois que votre chien de garde vous protège.'* Without hesitation the old boy quipped: 'Féroce.'*

The critter in question was a tiny Jack Russell pup. :-D

A lovely selection Bill, thank you.

And in the second photograph that bird on the left is in an extraordinary position.

Regards,
David

I was shooting Mountain Sheep? and felt something pushing on my leg. I looked down and this is what I saw.

Thanks he must have had an itch?

Pardon my ignorance, but who's that?
