I'm shopping around for a used XT2 and lenses I found this in craigslist:

To me this price for a used camera lens and grip is outrageously too high. I don't know about you but once you used your gear that's it, it is used, depreciated, and this price seems just a bit too darn high.

If this is the case then maybe I should just buy a XT1 for around $400 until the XT3 comes out. I can buy the 16mm lens and grip separately.

IMO that it too much to ask for used gear. You can get it new for that price if you shop around.

But then you already know that so why are you posting here and including a link.

Are you looking for someone to say YES that is a Great Price, Buy It.

Or is it your gear that you are trying to sell?

A X-T2 W/Grip and 3 batteries can be bought for 1300-1400.

The lens for around 700-800.

So total on the High side 2200+/-
 
Looks like the seller is trying to get more value for their X-T2 by bundling it with a 16mm f1.4. Locally I had my X-T2 with VBG and 3 batteries on CL for $1450 and there were no takers because there were loads of folks willing to sell them for $1200 or so. Also just saw a 16mm f1.4 for $750. So, this is definitely too much.
 
Definitely too high. I just decided to sell my own XT2, so I've been looking at prices in various locations and see XT2s used going between $950and $1200. A dealer just quoted me between $500 and $600 based on what it looks like when I bring it in. Mine is complete with all the accessories in the box and has taken less that 600 shots but it has two scrapes on the bottom edge of the body on each end caused by using a no-name dovetail base plus a small scratch on the LCD which I didn't even notice until I cleaned it today. So I'll be happy to get a $1000.

No I actually don't know the actual street prices people are paying right now for a used XT2, but my instinct did tell me something is wrong with this dude selling this stuff at that price.

Does anybody know from what reputable store I can find a really good bundle deal of used gear? :-)

If you search eBay, you can check a button on the left side after making the search called "sold listings". It will show you prices of actual items that were really sold over the past couple months. Subtract around 10% to get street value as the seller has no 10% ebay fee, 3% PayPal fee and no shipping when selling on Craigslist. I've found that it is rare to get a deal that is 13%+shipping better than eBay prices. Generally the sellers avoid eBay so that they can make a little more money. So both buyer and seller save with Craigslist generally.

Also fredmiranda has always been a good compromise for me. No 10% ebay fee, still have shipping and 3% PayPal fee but the amount of items is usually pretty good
 
Use FredMiranda sale forum prices as your guide

CL is usually overpriced

A mint XT2 can be had for less than $1200.00

16mm for $700-750

I'd say pass

I'm sorry for asking this dumb question but are you saying fred Miranda has a website where used gear is sold? I quite didn't get that and I'm not too familiar with fred Miranda, but I have heard of him :-)

I need two XT2 bodies, two 16mm and two 35 1.4 lenses.

Actually he can ask any price he likes. If he get it more power to him. If he doesn't and he needs or want to sell it then he'll have to come down on the price.

I could take out an add on any of the list sites or on eBay and ask $10,000 for a X-T2 all by itself. Will someone buy it? Doubtful. But that doesn't stop me from ASKING that price for it.

You or I are not the Price Police. If you think it is to high then don't buy it.

I looked on ebay a few weeks ago to see how much an X-T1 was likely to go for. I was intending to buy the X-H1 and wanted to know if any trade in price I was offered was fair.

Prices varied but one was being offered at £1,095 with 18-55 lens. I don't understand why people ask for such stupid amounts as it won't sell.

I was offered £200 trade in for body only, which I felt was too low, so I have kept it as a back up.
 
I too have an XT-1 which I no longer use and like you, I looked on Ebay to see what I might get for it. I also looked at what Harrison Cameras in Sheffield were selling them for.

Harrison Cameras give good prices for second hand equipment especially if it is being traded in. Their prices are often better than what you would get on Ebay and of course there are not Ebay and PayPal fees.
