They keep showing up everyday and I never get tired of seeing them or photographing them. :-)

All great, the Finch is specially nice!
Thanks!! Just to show you - this is what I had to work with SOOC:

Bad lighting SOOC required a fair amount of PP. You CAN make a silk purse out of a sow's ear! :-)

Instead of buying a new camera, I should get a photoshop course instead!

Stupidity is far more fascinating than intelligence. Intelligence has its limits...

Yes, the female is not black at all. We have them here in Australia as well, where they were introduced a long time ago, so I'm familiar with them. Usually, I find them very skittish and hard to get close to for a shot. Your shot is excellent.

she is brown.

And I have opted out.
Very nice portrait. Love the color rendition...
Thank you M-d. I experimented initially with the Vivid setting in the camera's creative style options but have reverted back to the Standard default as the images are more natural to my eye. And I got lucky with the light which enhanced the bird against the green background.

Excellent shots with the trusty FZ300.

Two from my new FZ330. Shot in jpeg and edited in Lightroom 5.

Nice images of lovely and interesting looking birds.

A great series of superb images. My favourite is the robin, but all are of equal quality. I felt a bit sorry for the horse.

An excellent image of the goats in an interesting setting, which helps show their climbing ability.

Looks like you are getting great results with the new camera. The details are excellent. Have fun.

Great find and image Ian. Love the colours and details.

Two excellent shots Stuart. The colours and details are superb. You are right that you should always have your camera with you on occasions like this.
