The title says it all, really. How does it work? Did it do a good job? Thinking of getting into it.

to get the best out of uv photography you need a converted camera and specialist lens with crystal quartz glass etc.The title says it all, really. How does it work? Did it do a good job? Thinking of getting into it.

Since cameras come with UV filters over the sensor the RX10iv will not be very good for UV photography. What people usually do is buy an older camera cheap and have the UV filter removed. The title says it all, really. How does it work? Did it do a good job? Thinking of getting into it.

jpeg there are 2 main types of uv photography. One is fluorescence which is recording images of things that glow under uv light which any camera can cover. What is UV photography? I've only ever heard of IR (infra red) photography. The title says it all, really. How does it work? Did it do a good job? Thinking of getting into it.

Are you going to disassemble/modify your camera yourself, or send it off to someone else to convert it?Please note. I am an idiot. I meant IR photography though I like the UV samples...
Has anyone used the RX10 Mkiii for IR photography?!

Neither. I guess I should have been more specific. I guess I'm meaning FAKE IR a la https://digital-photography-school....without-expensive-gear-or-camera-conversions/
I'm just wondering how much IR the RX10 iii picks up. I did the test and I could see the remote 'light' in the camera but it was fairly dim. I was just wondering if it was worth buying an IR filter to try it.

How does that work? If I see a cheap 828 for sale I might buy it just to do it.Plenty of IR converted cameras on FleaBay or buy a Sony DSC-F828 and use the magnet trick to put it in IR mode (IR and UV maybe?) with no restrictions and have a blast.

Thank you. It looks really easy to do. He said it works with a 717 as well.
