G7X mk2... Strange halos?

Hi!

Today I noticed some strange behavior from my G7X mk2 producing color halos in shots under strong daylight. As others have suggested, I may need to stop down the Canon lens in order to correct that, but I am not sure yet.

look at the blue/green halos on the right leafs... Also sharpness wasn't that good at 2.8

yellow/green halos again around the right leafs. Both on this image and the previous halos were evident also in the SOOC images.

Re “sharpness wasn’t that good at 2.8”, the petal should be blurry at 2.8 for that close. Your depth of field is probably some fraction of a mm at that f stop and distance. That razor thin band is all that should be sharp. Try f10ish or move farther away (or both) if you want more of the flower in focus.
