Hi all, I found a new DP1 quattro on eBay at 600 euro , what do you think does it worth the price? I'm interested in B&W street photografy, do you think it's ok for this kind of photo? And what about Sigma photo pro? Does it work?

Thank you.

In my opinion, no fixed lens camera is worth that price! But that's just me....

You go to ebay, you do a search for Sigma dp1 quattro, you look on the left side for a checkbox named "Sold Listings", you check it, you get the average of the prices and you have your answer.

For us US buyers - no, it's too expensive. It's usually $650-750 new depending on the time of the year, Sigma's mood and the different rebates. It was at $599 several years ago (when it was freshly released) on a Black Friday. That night B&H made a typing mistake and actually sold it (and honored the sales) at $499 for a few hours.

So for a used one, I'd look at a range of $500-600 (here, in the US).

Cheers

Thanks all for your answer.

Marco.

Yes, it is good value. All the dp Quattro cameras are esp the dp0Q. But it may not be ideal for street photos as you'll, in reality, be stuck using ISO 100 whic may be a limitation for a lot of lower light photos. Consider alternatives like the Ricoh GR .

I believe that was the dp2Q, when I got mine, unless B&H made two Quattro pricing mistakes.

You're probably right
