I purchased a Pixco focal reducer FD to m43 (for my 50mm 1.4) and it doesn't fit my G7's mount. It keeps the lens really tight but when it comes to connecting it to the body mount it has a small play, left or right, depeding in which direction I'll focus or change the aperture, and it's frustrating to be honest, got used to it for today but I want it gone.

Is this a known issue? How can I get rid of it?

No it is not a lnown issue. I have Pixco adapters and they seem well made to good tolerances. Included is an EF to M4/3 focal reduction version which works satisfactorily and has no play. None of them have any issues with the camera body end connection.

You will have to deal with your supplier for price reduction/refund or replacement.

You would have to quantify it. Most of my adapters have about the same amount of wiggle as a native Olynpus/Panasonic M43 lens on my cameras.

I have two that are noticeably bad though, Most of the wiggle comes from the tolerance between the round alignment hole in the back of the lens/adapter and the alignment pin in the camera body.

These adapters are aluminum. Not worth repairing., One would have to fill the hole with a weld and re-drill.

My cheap dumb FD to M43 adapter has a small play in it. I read somewhere that it was normal. Since I can focus without problems , kept it. Few days ago I received an also cheap but different brand OM to M43 adapter and it has the same play.

For my EF/EOS to m43 I use a Zhongyi and it's really good, with no play. Wanted to get one instead of this but reading about the Zhongyi FD to m43 I found out it has some aperture problems with the lens because of its vertical pin. I asked the seller for a refund of replacement.

Thank you!

Weird, my panasonic lens don't have any amount of wiggle. I asked for a refund or replacement. Thank you for the answer!
