So, no one posted the moon here yet?

1. Super Moon (evening)

This seems the largest size that M5+250mm can take.

100% cropped. M5+250mm
100% cropped. M5+250mm

2. Blood Moon (early morning)

Since it was my first try for blood moon, I made many mistakes.
No max zoom. No max resolution. No timer or remote release. Long exposure. ...
However, it was a pleasant experience from which I learned some.

100% cropped.
100% cropped.

One more.

Now show me yours. :)

They said we won´t see as colorfull moon in the middle Europe. I also didn´t manage to get my 55-250mm in time (coupled with Kenko 1.4x though). So at least I can enjoy looking at others work this time.

You did great!

No chance here in Central Ohio to view or photograph the eclipse, but I managed to get a couple of photos when the clouds parted briefly. The only post-processing was cropping and a bit of exposure correction.

A straight shot at 600mm.

Cue the howling werewolf sound effects. :-)

I got up early and got some shots of it full, but by the time it was in eclipse, it was completely obscured by clouds.

As the length of a thread approaches 150, the probability that someone will make the obvious "it's not the camera, it's the photographer" remark approaches 1.

It was overcast here so I'll just share a pic I took of the lunar eclipse from Oct 2014 taken with the original M and 55-250mm STM lens.

I was able to capture this from my driveway with my M5 and an Opteka 500mm mirror lens.

As you can see from the picture above, the view from Sydney (which was said to be the most ideal view on Earth at the time) was nothing but clods and cold rain. I drove up to the mountains outside of Sydney and perched up there in the dark for 5 hours, hoping for a break in the clouds that was promised to me by at least 3 prominent weather pages. It never came. Fortunately, I was fortunate enough to capture the last major Lunar Eclipse here in 2014 with the EOSM camera (see pic below).

I can't complain though. I was fortunate to get this richly detailed moon shot just three night earlier while testing my camera settings. There's another Lunar Eclipse here in 5 months or so. I'll have to try my luck again then. These were shot in JPEG.

Nice, nice, nice!
Going to blame you for the expense. Finally getting that lens I guess...
