I've used many HDMI clamps on many cameras over many years, including anodized machined aluminum Zacuto clamps. Yes they are inconvenient if you're doing real professional work and going from site to site, rigging and de-rigging cameras. They are a hassle and don't always work properly. It's about $1,000 to get a camera fixed with a cracked internal PCB due to the HDMI connector getting sheared off or bent.Sony recognizes the problem of micro and regular HDMI connections not being secure, which is why they supply a clamp. Is this too inconvenient for you? Securing the clamp takes much less time than whining about HDMI connections.
