I find the X100 series to expensive. But it seems to me there is no alternative if you want a bright, low depth, carry almost everywhere camera.
I would prefer 44mm Belgian Waffles. So light. So fluffy.More pancakes is always good thing. Heck, I would be very happy if 27mm was updated to not be so slow, loud and maybe didn't need a wrench to turn the focus ring. If it came without dust inside it would be even better...
Belgian? Heh, Sony branded full-iron waffles have 1.5x more fluffiness ;-)I would prefer 44mm Belgian Waffles. So light. So fluffy.More pancakes is always good thing. Lot's of companies have built good pancake lenses. Fuji did it with the 27mm & 18mm. Samsung did it with 20, 30, 16mm. Panasonic did it with the 20 F1.7. Probably lots of others too. One thing I notice is that all pancakes seem to be unit focus (ie the entire lens assembly moves) rather than internal focus (IF). Which means slow and noisy. I suspect that internal focus lenses (like the new fujicrons) are more difficult to make small. I, too, would love a 23mm F2 IF lens.Should be possible as Canon offers one but since there is a 23mm F2 non pancake lens already Fujifilm will not bring this. I want this pancake lens too. Unfortunately no other manufacturor as Canon seem to be able to build such lens. I'm looking at you Sigma, Tamron, Voigtländer...
