What's your favorite light weight ultra wide prime?

lightweight, UWA, prime lens. I’m Surprised the Voigtlander 15 isn’t getting more mentions. It is everything you asked for.

How did Ansel Adams work without AF and zoom?
Very, very slowly!

Though that's not necessarily a bad thing of course :)

what about using the 10-18. Even though this lens is for crop sensor I use it for my new A7riii and its so small and light weight.

No question. And if I need wider I stitch.
Hey, thats my line... I was just about to write axactly the same line.

Sometimes I bring a couple of longer lenses along, like the 35mm and a 90mm, but the Loxia 21 stay glued to the camera most of the time. Never had a lens that brought me more joy than this one. Thank you Zeiss...

I hiked through Chile and Argentina last month and the 9 hour hike at Torres Del Paine damn near killed me so I'm looking to update my travel setup to shed a bit of weigh.

I carried my 16-35mm f/4 and 24-105mm f/4 but I'd like to replace the 16-35mm with a nice lightweight sharp wide prime for landscapes and was wondering which lens you folks travel with most times. I'd be open to either MF or AF as long as it's light and sharp.

Definitely Loxia 21, no question about it. Optically superb, excellent rendering, lightweight and small, what more can you ask? :)

I have used the Batis 18/2.8 a lot for wide angle shots. For our last trip I rented the Sony 12-24/4 and although it is heavier than the Batis, I really really liked it. Used it to create depth in a lot of shots and it is great. This one is at 15mm.

The Batis 18mm is a little large on size but surprisingly lightweight. It's my go to for landscape. I tend to hike with it and a 24-105 as well.
Thanks, that's the combo I was considering. Question, which day pack do you use with this combo? I purchased a Wandrd pack which is great but I could use something even lighter for day hikes.
