First, the new bag: (info)

The D750 and 50/1.4 AFD fits into the middle third, leaving so much space I can drop the V1 in to the side and barely notice. I took the setup for a test run this afternoon and ended up using the V1 quite a bit with the FT1 and Ai Nikkor 105/2.5S. After all the recent battles about equivalence it was nice to just go out and take photos:

(it's a 300/6.3, in case you were wondering)

I re-acquired my V1 mated to FT1 and 85 1.8 for some totally silent action shooting.

The results were more then acceptable and actually not to shabby up to 5x7 prints compared to the pro charging $60 USD / print shooting a D4s and 70-200.

Pitty Nikon didn't continue to develop the line, or expand it with larger sensor size, nor enable enhanced focus capability.

Nice, nice, nice - the 105/2.5.
That was the first lens I bought, when I switched from M42 to Nikon. Beautiful glass.
I must try it on the V1.

If Nikon had made an FT2 for M42 I would have bought it.

Great shots!
And the 105 design was always a favorite lens back in the 'prehistoric' days.
Glad to see it still works so well. ( :
