Some really nice shots! Makes me want to get out and start shooting (haven't been able to use my Fuji gear much yet due to aging parent issues). Keep up the good work....

All shot with the X-T1 and 16-50mm zoom.

Just a few from the group of Fuji X-T1 images that I use to compare different image development software.

These were all developed in Capture One ( my normal software) without any additional 'Layer' working, except for the first one, where I used a healing layer to get rid of an out of focus bird in the sky.

All will be hand-held (as I don't like carrying around a tripod and so far age has not yet caused me to shake too much) .

Love the first one especially.

Greg, have you done North Cascades NP yet? My wife and I hiked around on the periphery of it a year or so ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The flight up Lake Chelan to Stehekin was amazing.

Miles, great work. The first one is really good, but in my opinion you need to warm it up a lot in post and do some color and brightness work. That shot is good composition, but way too cold and blue, unless you intended it that way. After all, it is a matter of personal choice and taste.

Plus, maybe the color shifted on the upload, download and devices we are viewing on. You never know what you are looking at on line. A lot can happen to an image viewing-wise. Good job Miles.

Nice pictures. Like the output quality. Professionally developed with natural colors. It really looks like that Capture One is having the edge providing such a superior result

Stefan,

Thanks for the appreciation.

There was some very slight movement blur in images 1, 2 and 4, (I probably didn't hold the camera steady enough when I pressed the shutter) so they were corrected and sharpened in Piccure+ after development in Capture One (without any sharpening).
Images 3 and 5 were post processed (including sharpening) in Capture One only.

Glad you liked the 'more natural' colours. I am not a fan of over processed and high saturation images. Though, I have to admit that sometimes it can be advantageous.

I have used Capture One for quite a few years now. First with a Canon 50D then a Canon 5D MkII and now the Fuji X-T1. Although many will disagree with me I believe that Capture One gives the best all-round results with Fuji X-Trans sensors, including sharpness without too many artefacts.

Give it a try. (Download the trial.)
Depending on what you are used to using Capture One can be quite daunting on first use.
Select some test images. Put them through Capture One without using too many of the more advanced functions. Repeat this a few times until you are happy that you know what you are doing. Then, experiment with the more advanced features like Layers, and the Colour Editor.
