I'm not sure if ML-L3 will work with DF. What else is available? I don't need anything fancy. Just want to release shutter for family pictures..

Thanks for useful info.Check B&H.
This is useful. I will check it out. From my experience with Snapbridge, generally the software one not very reliable. I will read about it.Try the WU-1a
which gives you both wireless file transfer to your phone, and remote trigger ability.

WU-1a works with Nikon Wireless Utilities only, not with SnapBridge. This is useful. I will check it out. From my experience with Snapbridge, generally the software one not very reliable. I will read about it.Try the WU-1a

Is there anything like ML-L3? Just a simple remote shutter release. Since DF doesn't have infrared, ML-L3 doesn't work. Will look into WR-R10 set too. I think this will work with D500 and DF.

I have one for 10 pin connector that use with D500. One issue is that if we put the receiver on flash mount, then we cannot use it with flash. So in my case the receiver will be hanging around tripod. Otherwise this works perfectly. It looks like WR-A10/WR-R10 is small and no cables. It will be stick to the 10 pin connector. I wish if there was any cheaper solution like that for Df. I will look for used WR.The ML-L3 will not work with the df. I got a vello freewave that works with the df, Vello FreeWave Plus Wireless Remote Shutter Release for Nikon. It comes with dc-2 and 10 pin connectors, for a reasonable price.

It can be. Search the camera on B&H, click the accessories tab and click on shutter releases. It the first thing I do when shopping for accessories for any new camera body I pick up.Geez - helpful!Check B&H.

The WR-1, the WR-T10/R10 combo, and the WU-1a - but looks looks you found that already

Neewer, Altura and Pixel also seem to have compatible offerings which I’d guess are probably more than enough for non-pro applications. Personally I use a cheapo cable release from neewer which seems to do the job’
Good suggestion. But Df doesn't have 10 pin connector. Nikon solution come with a 10 pin connector and one usb connector. I agree Nikon solution is way expensive.Check this one out. Looks like the receiver is 10 pin and there is no cable. Looks like the Nikon setup, but $150 less.

Thank you for the suggestions. I guess I have enough to decide on. I'm leaning towards WR solution as I can get the set and use one remote to control both D500 and Df.Geez - helpful!Check B&H.
