I love the look of this. No exif. Would you mind providing some details about how you made the image?

This photo probably doesn't belong in the Fuji forum, but I may have had a little egg nog last night and hey, this is where I hang out and post photos. :-) Moderators please feel free to remove if appropriate......however, it was definitely shot on Fujifilm film because that was my go-to back then....it was a little cheaper than Kodak.

In direct answer to your question, I shot this in the spring of 1986 with a Minolta X-370 and a cheap kit zoom. I was going through a box of photos last night and it struck me how much we obsess about "sharpness" today. There is nothing sharp about this photo and yet it is pleasing in other ways. In fact, the softness of the photo lends it an other-worldly, slightly dreamy look.

In the background is my red Pontiac Firebird. In the foreground is Shari, my steady girlfriend who I was madly in love with. We were walking out to a favorite secluded spot, called Chance's Park, near where we went to school. Little did I know as I snapped these photos that once we reached the little broken down wood pier she would break up with me and break my heart.

Late nights, old photos, and egg nog. Not necessarily the best mix. :-)

Thanks very much. Do you recall which emulsion? I agree that it is not sharpness that makes this image. Perhaps it conveys what you were feeling better this way. Cheers (eggnog). :-)

Happy holidays to all.

Always wanted to try out Fuji system so when local shop had new X-E2 bodies for just a bit more than they are going for used I just had to get one.

Well, I'm sold! Now to get some native glass...

Excellent pictures. The XE2 and Takumar make a great team.

Spooky and nice. Is this originally infrared or a PS treatment?

There is a Winter Storm Warning in effect here in southern Maine, and it's been snowing steadily all day. Not only that, but I have the flu or at least a very bad chest cold.

So all in all, a good day to stay home, sip hot beverages, and watch the birds and squirrels come and go on the back deck.

We put out bird seed all winter long, and birds, squirrels, people, and cats (indoor cats that is, no threat to the wildlife) all benefit one way or another from the arrangement.
All with my XT20. Mostly 50-230mm, except where otherwise noted.

My first thought was that I missed the colour. But after looking longer, I see that B&W was a good choice for a subject mostly about form. Nice one. Happy holidays!
