Is there an optical difference between the newest Hasselblad 50-110mm f/3.5-4.5 HC (part # 3026511) and the older version (part # 3023511)? I know the synch is 1/800s vs. 1/2000s (I can live with 1/800)

This will be mounted on an H6D-100c (just ordered and should arrive in the coming week or so).

Thanks for any feedback.

the new model has a shutter speed of 1/2000 for the new h6 bodies

Thank you for your input and links..

For a little more money I can get a used Hasselblad HC 80mm f/2.8 Lens (orange dot). I am think this is a better option for a first lens, faster, smaller and latest version so 1/2000 sync and it exactly in the middle of the range of the zoom.

Thoughts?

It is optical no different.

It's a brilliant lens. I don't really mind the size. But when you use something like the 80mm and then use the 50-110 you really notice the difference.

I got the tracking number for the H6D-100c and ordered two lenses.

Hasselblad 50-110mm f/3.5-4.5 HC

Hasselblad 210mm f/4 HC

Based on which focal length I use most I will see about adding a smaller prime later.

Look forward to contributing to the Medium format, time to sell a few of my Nikon lenses as I will primarily be using it for kids sports.

My guess is that the Hasselblad 50-110mm f/3.5-4.5 HC will spend a lot of time on your camera. I'm interested in knowing when focal lengths will fit your fancy after you spend some time behind the respective lenses. Enjoy your kit :)

If sharpness is as good as I hope it will probably be I would probably get a prime not covered within that range like a 24mm or something wider. Everything arrives on Monday..

You also have some great work on your website..

50-110 is very very sharp,I call it an allrounder. Very heavy though!

I would suggest chimbos_matt to consider HCD 28mm,which is also a reputable for IQ.

I dont have it but waiting for right opportunity to add to my gadgets.
Yes, even heavier than the Pentax 28-45. The 50-110 is a large lens. I think he's considering primes in ranges that aren't covered by the zoom. Looks like he's off to start with a fine camera and lens selection.

Best in photography to you
