*** Wildlife Thread starting 25th November2017 ***

On my morning walk, the big Po tree is full of fruit, so the squirrels are having a heyday. It was early morning, quite dark, and he was far up the tree, so please don't pixel peep. I will keep trying and hopefully will get him closer with more light. But thought I'd share anyway. Taken with my "plastic" (ie cheap) XC Fuji zoom 50-230. Also, a shot of what the squirrels are after. Yum, yum. Not sure whether these are fruit or nuts?

A lovely series of shots, especially the kingfisher, as I know they are really hard to get.

The shovelers are interesting looking ducks, we have the Southern Shoveler down here, which looks similar, but has different colouring. They have real character.

An excellent collection of subjects. My favourite is the last one.

Despite your difficulties, the shots look great to me. especially the butterfly, which has beautiful lighting and excellent details.

Great catch!

We have a similar species but they are rare. I have only seen one once and wasn't able to get a pic.

Knowing how hard it is to get sharp shots with TC at 1/100sec without TC-conversion on I think you have done well here!

Thanks for showing ... and keep the 200+17 going!

Regards,
K.

Thanks for telling me it's flies ... I was ready to finally clean my monitor. ;-)

Nice shot!

Thanks, Rodger.
