What hardware/software is everyone using for post-processing nowadays on their Fuji?

I'm using an X100 and using an old version of LightRoom I purchased years ago. I run it on an older (2013) MacBook Pro. I don't do much post-processing at all (personal preference). It serves my needs but I realize it's kind of old now and I'm not getting a lot of new features.

I'm interested in learning more about and doing more post processing. I'm also considering upgrading to the X100F or maybe X100T so I need to look into some other options for the Xtrans.

Just curious what everyone is using nowadays since many of the big dogs have went to subscription models (which I'm not too keen on).

Make sure you state what camera you are using too.

I'm using a MacBook Pro (Late 2013) and a PC with Windows 7. My current camera is the Fuji X-E2. I've borrowed the X100 before to compare both and therefore still have some RAWs I can compare.

I have been using Lightroom for many year. Since I switched to Fuji I always found the processing of the Fuji RAWs much slower compared to my Canon RAWs. Currently I'm evaluating Capture One and mostly edited Fuji RAWs. Capture One has better performance, sharpening (No worm effect!) and I get more details in my photos compared to Lightroom.

I use Capture One Pro 10 for all of my raw processing. I love the advanced color editor. ICC profile control is really powerful and flexible. Adjustment layers are very useful and offer a lot of creative opportunities. I prefer to use C1Pro in Session mode which does not use a catalog but it also offers a catalog mode.

There's a 30 day free trial and they let you re-trial it after almost every update.

C1Pro is worth every penny, to me. It's also significantly faster than LR, Silkypix, Luminar, Bridge, On1, et al.

I use it on a 2015 MBP and a custom windows 10 desktop that's a lot older. It's *way* faster on the windows machine thanks to its much more powerful video card.

X-100 T. Hp pavilion g6 15.6 laptop. Last version of ACR and full CS6. Ain't subscribing to nothing. I use NIK collection's silver effex pro 2 for black and white mostly with the high structure filter and green filter but adjusting the structure and tones to taste as it can be too much sometimes but you can make your own preset out of it. Fuji colours are nice but I still prefer RAW imported to ACR converted with the dng converter. Then I have a preset using colour effex pro 4 I made with the contrast colour range filter which gives me just what I like. Exact same processing with my nikon dslr actually. With RAW you can make any digital camera output match any other once you learn how to. My having both cameras is not for different output but form factor based on photographic situation.

I tried LR with Fuji's raw and it was not good, switched to capture one pro 10 and boi! defiantly will stay with COP.

I use Iridient X-Transformer + LR6. I still think this gives the best results.

I really hope Fuji's new RAW converter will be able to convert to DNG's or some other RAW format, though. This would presumably give perfect results. I'm afraid it'll most likely only convert to JPG, though :/

Iridient X-Transformer into LR monthly subscription on a iMac 21" with my library stored on a NAS.

LR is worth it for me as it let's me edit offline using an iPad or Android tablet. I spend a couple of hours a day on a train and being able to flag, crop and lightly edit is valuable to me. Just last night, I imported 246 photos into LR on my iMac and was able to flag them all using my iPad on the way into work. On the way home, I'll crop, adjust exposure and rate them. Then I can share them!

Easy! And when I looked around, I could find no other platform that offered this functionality.

Another vote for X-Transformer and then LR6 for RAW. Photoshop Elements for editing out of camera JPGS, and sometimes for the JPGS exported from Lightroom as well.

Capture One Pro 10 on Windows 10. I use C1 in catalogue mode to manage all my image files (raws and jpegs). I also use Photoshop Elements and the NIK suite. PSD files also go into my Capture One catalogue.

Mine is 2015 Macbook Pro, XT20. C1 seems to be a popular choice for many but I have no way of spending $300 just for a editing program for my hobby (if you are a pro photographer, it is another story for sure). In addition to LR, I tried Piktorial and Luminar 2018 - both have a trial version also, I think. Both do a decent job even if I find Luminar running quite slow to load raw files, I don't know if this is the issue particularly for Fuji or not. Piktorial is fine, it doesn't have a sophistication as some other programs but as an option, you can purchase Fuji Film Sims also. Worth a try?

Affinity Photo on Imac and Ipad pro. One time purchase. Free life time updates and built in tutorials on Ipad. Works well for me and the Apple pencil is worthwhile for fine inpainting, cloning etc. Also use RawPower for Ipad for quick raw and jpeg adjustment.

Luminar or Affinity will do the trick unless PP is important most software is pretty much the same good/bad aspects in all.

For those of us that print or have clients it is a different ball game

Yeah I don’t need anything too crazy since I don’t have clients. I’m just looking to make my pictures better looking when I share with friends and family.

I’m on a base Mac Pro, using an X-T10 and X100F. Lightroom was fine while it lasted, but I’ve switched to Capture One 10 and am looking forward to v11 coming out. Affinity Photo is my pixel editor of choice.

LR is the better DAM software, but I’m liking C1 better for most other things. Switching software cost as much as a 50/2WR, which I would very much like, but honestly the software makes a much bigger difference.

Yeah I don’t need anything too crazy since I don’t have clients. I’m just looking to make my pictures better looking when I share with friends and family.

Then Luminar will do the trick it has lots of presets and eill only get better come January it will be pretty much in the very good basket. Mac friendly to boot
