The emotion on the faces, in particular the guy in the center makes this image for me. Black in white in this case makes one focus on the emotion. Nicely done.

I have some very mixed feelings about this image emotionally, but I love the angle and your processing. For me this is a movement I support but they look a bit scary here :-)

Hi John, yes, keep in mind that I am not necessarily take a stance in any direction here, but this photograph is purely on a photojournalistic point of view. it is concerned with capturing a protest and there was a lot of anger from the young generation during the protest (even though it was a "peaceful" protest).

Cheers,

Max

Thanks!

The high intensity shown on the main character's face is probably the most compelling part of the image, for me.

It's hard not to notice the shadow on his tshirt of what looks like a speedlight/flash on top of a camera; did you use flash taking this one?

This image would also probably go down well in the Documentary and Street Photography forum.

Regards.

Powerful! You can't take that photograph from the side lines. Nice work!

Yes ;-) The light was harsh, so I want to get a bit of extra light to fill in!

Thanks :-) Yes, for that one, I was walking backward, the camera high up in the air, and firing the camera several times in a row.

Cheers,

Max
