The rain-spattered window not only makes a nice background visually, the context it provides is great as well. It complements the subject perfectly.

Nice job,

This is great. I love the emotion in the dog's eye and posture, which is echoed and reinforced by the condensation. It beautifully picks up the feeling of the dog waiting for glimpses of the significant human/s through the veil and evokes an awareness of the response to come when the human is glimpsed.

nice portrait. I think the rain on the window really sets the mood. something along the lines of "I want to go out and play in the rain" kinda feeling.

I totally agree with the other comments regarding the moisture on the window. Contemplative without being sappy--no small feat!!

thanks all, I never expected a response really, I had spent a few minutes taking a few shots of the Dog on the window sill, to see how my new 58mm 1.4 would render , looking to try various settings and play around with the DOF etc. they all turned out pretty nice, its a very unique lens. this image is cropped from a (full dog) image , and when I realized that the condensation on the window added a whole new dimension to the picture I cropped it that way and converted it to B/W using DxO Filmpack.

Thanks again.

don't say that you will get the snap shot police after you hehehheehe. its doesn't matter how you got it its a fine shot. what matters is to now go make more of them good.

another from the same set, this time softened before b/w conversion.
