Hi all! Any suggestions for a COMPACT travel case for my RX10? We don't plan to carry around a lot of accessories so don't need lots of extra pockets. Definitely want something small and portable, top-loading design. Something that doesn't look like a typical bulky camera case (ie. NO lowepro!) Water resistant would be ideal but not a must.

For reference, I really like the Miggo Agua (link below) but it seems the RX10 is in between sizes - too big for the smallest one, but the size up would be too bulky.

Thanks in advance!

Not sure about the brand of the bag I'm using for my RX10m3 (same size) but one criteria for selection of the right sized bag for me was that the cam should fit perfectly WITH the shade on. I took off the front cap of mine on the first day and stored it in the front pouch of the bag and it never left it because when actually shooting I want the cam more or less ready to go w/o fiddling around with the front cap. However the size of the shade requires a deeper bag.

Like you I wanted a COMPACT case for my new M4. I took a chance on a possibly too small $15 model from Evecase which arrived today - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HULQO84

It is a tight fit as expected, and only works with the shade 'inverted'. I was hoping to be able to put the camera in sideways but it's too tight that way round. If you want a snug fit and dont mind a bit of a fiddle to pack the shoulder strap in (or dont have one on your M4) this case is a reasonable option and has some storage spaces for a few extra bits.

I use a LowePro TZ 45AW. Fits quite well and has a waterproof cover available if needed.

Fits fine with the hood in its operating position :-)

I've tried the holster-type cases but didn't get on with them. What I've settled on is the Think Tank MirrorlessMover 30i which is largely filled by my RX10 III with the hood extended but has enough extra room for a flash and a table-top tripod or bottle of water plus there's a small pocket that's enough for the vital extra batteries.

I use a Case Logic like this one that works very well for my RX10iii. It as room to spare so the lens hood can be left on.

I also use a LowePro sling/shoulder bag which holds my RX10iii, A99ii with Sigma 24-105 or Tamron 45mm f1.8 attached and my flash. If I don't bring the flash I can carry both the Sigma and Tamron lenses or carry the flash in it's belt case. With this set up I'm ready for most anything.

I found the best case for RX10.

Camera with the hood mounted in reverse fits like a glove. Extra battery, cable and charger fits in side pockets.

Don't you just hate one-post wonders?

Hello...just bumping this thread back into circulation to see if others have any recommended compact cases for the RX104? I'd be carrying/packing mine with the hood on but reversed. I also have a small wrist grip installed/attached.

Thanks!

I find the ThinkTank Mirrorless Mover 20 works very well for the RX10mIV. No need to reverse the lens hood.

Just received my RX10 IV in the mail along with the LowePro Nova 140AW

Must say, it is a perfect fit with lens hood in shooting position. I love the AW feature which should do a fine job protecting from unexpected downpours.

Thanks...I'm leaning towards this bag at this point. I've had LowePro products before and always been pleased with the quality-
