Old news about the name change. Too early for a conclusion on what to think about it. The user base is still in its infancy.

No problemo, just that a fair bit of effort went into the other thread so best to cross-link to it.

I paid for the upgrade to Photolab which really takes the place of what would have been DxO V12.

Once paid for then other paid for modules become available like the Viewpoint or Filmpack.

Next year sometime the Nik collection will be revived and integrated or most likely become another paid module.

Meanwhile Nik collection (can be linked to from Lightroom, PaintShop Pro etc) is still free to download from DxO at https://nikcollection.dxo.com/

Build a front-end DAM to go with it and I'm in. Here's hoping they're on the task.
Most likely will happen, but for me I way prefer to manage my own folders etc via the usual Windows structure.

Was caught out years ago when some hardware crash wiped a lot of organisational effort that could not be recovered, so from then on no more "software solutions" but strictly my own folder management method. Basically everything in day dated folders with added text.

That way any program can see what's what and am not tied to any proprietary structure, except Windows folder structure of course.

Agree. I don't have so many folders that I need more management than Windows provides. I don't do collections, or keywords (other than the folder name) so maybe I'm just not a good example of one that would use a good DAM.

Has anyone tested the PRIME noise reduction in the new version? That is a major reason I use the previous version. Is it faster and/or does it do an even better job?

I'm not sure I need the local adjustments; I doubt I'm willing to abandon GIMP. And I certainly don't want a DAM.

Same here. I will keep using folders since that system works for me and can work regardless of what system in currently in vogue. I have played with DAM systems and seem to always screw things up when moving or renaming things.

I personally use Photo Mechanic. it is lightning fast and can let me have numerous folders open thst I can select with tabs. So I have used Photo Mechanic along with Photo Ninja but moved to DxO about a year ago when I switched to m43, partly due to Prime and their lens profiles.

Funny how my first raw converter was the old Nikon NX which had control points. Then they removed the control points and DxO is using that technology.

No, it's about the same as OP11.

Hard to say. Do the 30 day free trial and find out for yourself.
