I have a Oly 12-100/4 Pro zoom on my EM1.2. Every now and then, the lens would get stuck at around 25mm when I zoom. All I need to do is to back up a little and you can hear something 'disengages' and you can then zoom pass the previously stuck point. It seems to be related to the lens IS function. Has anyone else experienced this?

I hesitate to bring it in for service because I cannot repeat it on demand. Anyone else?

Sorry to hear about that... must be frustrating...

no... I do not have this problem...

No, but if I did, it would go directly to the shop. No telling when it might get worse and ruin an outing, not to mention cause more damage making the repair move involved.

I have that lens, have had no problem and I second those thoughts.

WS, I also have the 12-100. I feel never experienced anything like that, not once in 10 months. Something is broken/loose that shouldn't be ... :-( .

As others have said, send it to your local Olympus service centre. Telephone them about it first.

Sorry to hear, send it in. Mine is OK.

Thank you everyone

Just a quick update.

I did end up taking the lens in for service a week ago. I picked it up today and it feels better than before. They had to replace the 'Ring Zoom Unit', "Base Barrel Unit R" and "Frame Outer Gyro Unit R".
