The LG G5 has the same sensor and also an additional wide angle camera.

I have two LG G5's. I purchased both of mine brand new for $199 but used should be around $150 or less. The camera supports raw and manual controls which is nice. For the money i doubt you will do better -- plus later on you can add those mods for grip and camera controls -- swappable batteries, etc.

I bought both of mine from ebay. the H830 from buyspry had a custom unlocked rom that i did not like (google play says device is not certified) android pay doesnt work. When you flash it back to stock then phone is locked to tmobile service. I bought another H820 and its working perfect with cricket wireless. Otherwise you can find used ones for $150ish.

Used LG G5 on ebay

The problem I have with Ebay is a lot wont ship to NZ, and NZ second hand is ridiculous pricing, as is brand new.

I am only familar with US pricing. What about motorola g5s plus? i see them around $200 in the US brand new.

Yeah the moto is a generic sensor.

I have very few options and now the lemax 2 has slipped out of price range.

Risk the $200 on a refurbished g5 or v10 on aliexpress?

I didnt think the Moto g5 had a good camera?
The G5 has a very good sensor/camera:

From endgadget: "The regular G5 plays host to a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and phase detection autofocus. And for a device as cheap as this, it's a pretty impressive shooter. I recently spent time with a succession of affordable devices (for review purposes) that had 13MP cameras or better (on paper), but the G5 is on a completely different level. Images are full of detail and color reproduction is almost always accurate. The HDR mode does what it's supposed to, adding a bit more depth to already well-saturated images. White balance is on point, and only infrequently does auto-exposure require manual correction, which is easy thanks to the reticule slider I mentioned."

Im just worried buying a refurbed G5 online and having no local warranty but yes the camera has raw too.

the new meizu is the same price m6, 4000mah, fast charge, most important, a sony sensor f1.9 but this time it is really good, has a dual cam to increase bokeh. about $160 US.

This 13MP sensor is real small. Better get G5 plus, which has the same sensor as most of the flagships right now: Pixel2, HTC U11, Galaxy S8/Note8, etc, but no OIS.

The Meizu uses same sensor as the HTCu11, perhaps why it does such a great job.

Id still love a G5 but as i keep saying, a refurbished one in a brand that isnt known for realiability is running the gauntlet from overseas and no local warranty.

I picked up a used, in excellent condition, Samsung Galaxy s6 Active on eBay for $150. Excellent camera/video tool. Same camera as the Galaxy 6, and Galaxy s6 edge. 4k video, ois, raw, 1.9 aperture... Mine only had 16 gigs internal and no card slot, but I picked up a tiny OTG flash drive to dump 4k video clips. Works great.

Yeah its not a bad camera. Its the hardware I dont like, where as they went back to qualcomm in the s7.

i think the G5 Imported for about $300nzd is the only camera I will get with OIS and RAW.

I just know the Meizu M6 performs pretty well compared to the galaxy, but no OIS or RAW.

My mind is going over time on this as I hate my old 4" phone.
