I got to see this flag somewhere in WEST VIRGINIA just outside a DAYS INN motel ..Seems ppl are real busy there and they cant even take care of flag.

 
If you can remember where you saw it, you should either call or write to that Days Inn and tell them to take down that flag and dispose of it properly. Any local VFW will take the flag and properly dispose of it.

send this photo to the local vfw, or american legion post. they'll see to the situation...

That is a sad thing to see. They should not even bother flying a flag if they cant have one in proper condition.

You would be appalled at how many time I see this very thing.

One time, when my wife was in the hospital they had one as bad as this one you have here. I went in to the front desk, asked for the administrator, and said "For what I am paying you for my wife to be in here, I know you can afford to replace the flag out front; it is a disgrace". The next day when I went to visit her, there was a brand new one on the pole... It pays to complain!

I think that...

Whomever is responsible for this OUTRAGE should be reported to the George Bush society to combat unAmerican Activities.
Then they should have their phone lines/Internet use monitored.
Then perhaps a cruise missle down their chimney...

Then...the government could create a program called "no child left behind" which will set unrealistic goals for their already over-burdened public schools to meet...and stiff them over 6 BILLION dollars in promised funding to prevent these goals from being met...this way..the operation of schools could be turned over to private industry...
or something...oh wait...that's been done..

Oh my...good thing I'm a Veteran or I may be labled unAmerican...does that even matter? Does time in the Celebrity Air Wing of the Texas National Guard count? Dad? Little help please?

to anger many people into beating you mercilessly. Flying a tattered flag is disgraceful and should not be tolerated, much less condoned. If you can't afford a new flag then at least don't fly a crappy one...
 
For me you're a representant of a huge (no doubt major) but seldom heard portion of Amercan people that ARE normal. Unfortunetely as always it are the hysterics & fanatics that have the loudest voice (and fastest typing fingers).

Sounds like opinion...not law...

Funny though, how SOME people can tout freedoms, and then consider physically harming someone for exercising them...I guess for some it is "freedom to think like I do, or else".
Stupid really, if you THINK about it.

Share the beauty in the commonplace
 
I would have gone in and asked them to take care of it. I have done just this in my town where the town had flags on poles and not keeping up with ones that half fell down!
