How about a 110 or 120 F1.8... or maybe a 140-160 F2.0... or F2.8 for a reduced size. Any possibility of these lenses having VR. What's on your fast prime Christmas list?

YES... perhaps fur sure. Those E-Series primes were always pretty sharp and a real 'bang for the buck' at some pretty low prices. I'd vote for that one...perhaps a 135/2E as well
Agreed... a new Nanocoat 180 F2.8 with VR... that lens would ROCK!A newly designed 180mm or 200mm f/2.8 lens !
I would sooooo love to see those lenses come out... and Nikon does have the technology. The boys in Nikon R&D need to team up and create optics like these...So instead of 105 f1.4, I'd prefer 105 f1.8 VR, or 100 f2 VR. Nikon could create quite a stir with a 135 f2 VR I think. But I don't think they will do it because they are not pioneers in things like this.
These are the lenses I'd like to see from your list...1. FF:
105mm f/2 E AFS
180mm f/2.8 E VR AFS
2. DX (would push me to buy a d500 and downsize my Fujifilm estate)
70mm f/2
135mm f/2 VR (if more compact than a FF of same FL)
Why, they are just big, heavy and expensive clunkfests with too much glass in them? Why not make some trioplan type primes instead? How about a 110 or 120 F1.8... or maybe a 140-160 F2.0... or F2.8 for a reduced size. Any possibility of these lenses having VR. Not even... I'm quite sure that a 120 F1.8 would not be as big and heavy as that 105 F1.4 Nikon just came out with... that think is HUGE for it's focal length. A 160 F2.8 should be quite manageable also...Why, they are just big, heavy and expensive clunkfests with too much glass in them? Yup, a nice, small AF-S 180/2.8E PF VR would be nice. Don't know what happened to the PF technology as seen on 300/4E PF VR ... it's been 2 years and a half since it's introduction and it's still the only one?A newly designed 180mm or 200mm f/2.8 lens !

I think he might be talking about the newer style E versions, which are quite pricey.YES... perhaps fur sure. Those E-Series primes were always pretty sharp and a real 'bang for the buck' at some pretty low prices. I'd vote for that one...perhaps a 135/2E as well![]()
These are all to EXTREME... extreme wide angles and extreme telephotos won't gain popularity. Best and most popular offerings would range from 70mm to 180mm... and somewhat fast from F1.8 to F2.8...Nikkor AF-D 38.7mm DX G
The current 35mm is too wide and 40mm not wide enough for my needs.

The current 800mm is too heavy

Sorely lacking from this mount for a number of years now!
