The file you downloaded for the firmware update for X-T20, is it for 1.02? I just did it but the file is still for 1.01, it seems? Or I'm out of mind? The file name is FWUP0013.DAT

Thanks, Matt. Hmmm, will try again. I did it from 1.00 to 1.01 before without an issue. What am I doing wrong...That's the same file name I got, and it updated me from 1.01 to 1.02.
Deleted the file and downloaded it again - now worked. Thank you, what was I doing....That's the same file name I got, and it updated me from 1.01 to 1.02.
Fuji has this nasty little habit of using the same filename for every single update. What you experienced sounds like what happens if you don't erase the update file from your computer after the update is done.Deleted the file and downloaded it again - now worked. If you download a second copy of the same filename, Macs and probably PCs increment the file name with a dash or dot 1, then 2, etc. Now that you've completed the update, erase that file. Also look for a dash or dot copy of the same filename and erase it also. Once you do an update, you cannot undo it or redo it, so there is no reason to keep the update files. Also reformat the SD card in your X-T20to get rid of that copy also.
I totally agree. I searched and researched through all the menus and gave up and asked the question to Google where of course I got the answer immediately. No idea; glad to hear it worked out for you though. Personally, I'm embarrassed to have to admit I couldn't remember how to get into update mode in the first place.

Both - I think its a complete replaceIf you skipped the last update, do you need to first install the prior update and then the newer update, or does the new update "contain" both?
No, each time you do an update, you are actually erasing the old operating system and apps and replacing them all with new updated code. The only thing that is kept and not overwritten are your custom settings. If you skipped the last update, do you need to first install the prior update and then the newer update, or does the new update "contain" both?
