Don’t know whether top speed requires DX. If it is 46MP @ FX and 10fps the onboard processing is really something else!

May be they manage to implement 2 processors operating in parallel. But the more realistic is that 10 fps is limited to Dx (vs 7 on D810 with additional grip). This make sense with a new battery to avoid using a grip to have sufficient power to reach the max fps

Anyway thank for the info, the only "new" feature is the MP count and FPS. I mean, we already now that the new camera has the D5/D500 AF, the tilting screen of D500, the button layout of the D500, probably the same light measurement module also... Nikon is simply reusing the parts of others high end camera of its lineup. Logical industrial process

Can you link the relevant page or post on that site?

Edit: OK, I found it: http://nikongear.net/revival/index.php/topic,6266.60.html - this page, part way down from poster called Millrehm. Claims to have visited Nikon Austria and received the information from them.

Excuse me, but I do trust Wolfgang. So your hogwash comment goes in the bin.
Believe what you wish off the internet here's someone saying 14 fps but until Nikon releases specs on it its all for page hits, no ?

That source also claims the D850 will be 36 Mpix, so we immediately know it should be disregarded.

Not to mention that they're comparing the D850 to a fictitious D81A, whatever that is.

Considering the Sony A9 is 20 fps at 24 MP, it isn't unthinkable that 46 MP can now be done at 10 fps. In fact it works out at slightly less data throughput than the Sony (460 vs 480). IMHO, the suggested Nikon specs are a much more powerful combo. 20 fps vs 10 fps is (surely?) not as big a win as 46 MP vs 24 MP in resolution?

The A99 MkII processor already does 42 MP at 12 fps

https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sony-slt-a99-ii

So the processor is in production.

46 MP at 10 fps is possible given the current processor on the market, but I have no clue if the rumour is true or not.

The D81A likely is the one with 100MP, 20fps at full resolution and ISO sensitivity of ISO 50-200,000.
