I recently had my lens repaired, I've noticed some distortion in some photos lately that I don't remember getting with this lens in the past.. mind you, I was shooting photos without looking in the viewfinder (live streaming from a monopod)

Does this lens get distortion this bad, I seriously can't remember getting anything like this before.

Does look extreme but then it's unusual to see this kind of portrait shot at 16mm on FF. Hoepfully someone who owns the lens could maybe try a similar shot and put it up here to compare with yours.

It doesn't seem completely out of sorts to me. I'm thinking you forgot that ultra-wides need to be held level and square to the subject to avoid severe distortions.

These aren't the best examples but I think they get the point across (10mm focal length on APS-C):

Camera at eye level pointed downward at window. Sigma 10-20mm on A77ii

Camera lowered a couple feet and kinda-sorta level and square-on to window. Sigma 10-20mm on APS-C

Using ultra-wide distortion to your advantage.

I believe that's normal for 16mm. The fact you used portrait orientation made it more obvious.
