Hey everyone , I am debating between purchasing the x-t20 or the x-t2, i guess my main concern is portability , i go to work every day with a small messenger bag and my friend let me borrow the xt20 with the 35mm f2 lens for a few days , it fit just right on it , felt solid but not too bulky, I could easily put it on one of those Velcro wraps they sell on amazon and just drop it on the bag , something I could never do with my d5500 !

but I was wondering if I could get away with buying the x-t2 instead, everyone is saying how small is the xt20 in comparison , that the xt2 is a monster , but on paper it says 25% bigger . Is it really just a tad bigger?

I tried going to many retail stores to compare but no one has the xt2 for show , so I ask anyone who has both, is it REALLY that much of a difference?

Thanks for reading n any opinions much appreciated

Not to sound disrespectful but I was looking for real world experiences, appreciate the link though

I have both. Strictly speaking X-T2 for myself and X-T20 for my wife as it has AUTO function. I've purchased the X-T20 very recently. But when I first opened the box to attach 18-55mm lens, the body seems so tiny, seemed even smaller than other previous Lumix GX-7. But after attaching the lens it didn't feel that small, so the size may feel different depending on which lens you attach. if you are attaching small prime lens, I don't think there will be much difference. Also depending what size the messenger bag is, but I think either with tiny prime would fit without much issues. I am a zoom guy, mainly for 1 lens for travelling. I attach 18-135mm on X-T2 and 18-55mm on X-T20. I may borrow my wife's when I just day out shoot. But my tendency towards X-T2 is the larger EVF. It's a must have for me. With X-T20, I would think I would be using LCD more like a small compact camera. Other thing to consider is the price difference between the two, but I am happy with X-T2, hopefully my wife will be happy with X-T20 too.

I have XT10 as a spare body along woith the XT2

Without any grip the differnce IMHO is minimal

Anyway both are too small with big lenses I bought the battery grip for the XT2 and a good l bracket grip for the XT10

As needed I can remove these gears for miniùal volume
