CN Tower, Toronto - Panorama

Sir CC,

Still watching your outstanding subjects ! Agreed with you that Toronto is getting too busy for tourists while ignoring local guys like me when I visited downtown & all within the surroundings !!! :o((

If I could, I prefer to follow you to Windsor with few chasers eh ? HeHeHe

Have a wonderful week end Sir CC,
Harry

Very impressive shot and very nice background story!! I had no idea
where the tallest building in the world was!! Being from the US of
A, I would have guessed New York or Chicago. Thanks for that indo
Mr CC!!!

The pano is awesome! No signs of stitching that I could detect!
Have you ever gone to the top and taken some shots?? If you have,
please share!!

Once again, you've added to this Forum Mr CC, and I thank you!!!

Thanks Harry, Just too much traffic, people, everything - and of course the CNE was on so that just added to the traffic woes.

I needed a few chasers everytime we got back to the hotel.

Thanks again for your nice comments.

Ah Jules, you gave me a chuckle from your comments - I guess when this old boy runs it's gotta be funny.

Thanks for looking.

CC
Are you sure thats toronto?! Oh wait - bus drivers smiling - IT
CAN'T be London! Laughing? It CAN'T be England at all....!!

I took a look at the large version - scrolls up the screen nicely!
You can't make out the joins at all. They ought to set a few stone
masons loose on the thing though - perhaps carve a few features
into it. I wonder if they just built a big tower-sized shell and
filled it with concrete to make it...!

Sure would be interested in seeing any pictures you take of the air show. Our Son has been after me for years to come up - the visit for the wedding is enough traffic for one year. Ha!

You have a very nice web site - do you have you picture in our "Mug Gallery"?

Thanks for your comments.

CC
If you had found a REAL parking spot you could have wandered around
and gotten pictures from a lot of different angles. I did mine from
in front of the ACC. There's a clear view from there.

Are you in town for the Air show? I'll be there tomorrow putting
my 750 to the test in the hot sun! Its always pretty entertaining,
although a tad long! Sunblock is highly recommended for this 3+
hour show!!!

This is certainly one of the most outstanding towers and trying to
get a picture of the whole thing it as much trouble as it probably
was building.

Geez CC, great picture of the tower. It was probably worth the $60. I'd ike to see you try that in Boston. The tow truck would be hooked up before you hit the shutter! LOL
This is certainly one of the most outstanding towers and trying to

Of course, it stands out for miles, but you are also in 4 lanes of
solid traffic (I don't think Toronto allows it any other way) and
Mrs. CC wouldn't touch my camera with a ten foot pole. I finally
figured out how to get to the foot of the tower and low and behold
there is plenty of space to park.

I get out take quite a few pictures and then was politely told I
was parked in a bus stop which carries a $60 fine, phew did I move
in a hurry.

Guess whose blue van that is? And you know when they saw me
running, the drivers were laughing - no not cursing - isn't that
great.

The CN Tower has a height of 553.33m (1,815 ft., 5 inches), it is
the World's Tallest Building, an important telecommunications hub,
and the centre of tourism in Toronto.
Each year, approximately 2 million people visit the CN Tower to
take in the breath-taking view and enjoy all the attractions it has
to offer. The CN Tower was built in 1976 by Canadian National (CN)
who wanted to demonstrate the strength of Canadian industry by
building a tower taller than any other in the world

This is made from 5 images taken with the C2100 and stitched in The
Panorama Factory.

You should see the full size, however, it will be slow for
