Wondering if anyone can help here..

For the recent holiday, I purchased one of the generic 8" underwater domes for the GoPro - great for video, but the GoPro can't give enough IQ on stills for me.

I'm now looking for a 'domed' solution so I can do a split over/under water image. As incredible as the Ikelite solutions look, I'm looking at £2k for one of my current bodies.

Any suggestions? An idea would be to buy something along the lines of a Fuji X100S - it's just finding an underwater dome for it..

A6000 plus meikon dome housing.

Since this will only be used once in a while Sony a6000 is for me a good bang for the buck. You can get the whole package for the price of a7ii Meikon housing alone.

I myself is looking for a housing+dome for my a6300.

happy shooting!

One of my poor attempt to get the split shot using the meikon nex5n combo.

Thanks for the input.

The difficulty I've got with the Meikon A6000 solution is the dome isn't big enough - can't go wide enough.

My understanding is the additional wide dome accessory is a wet dome, therefore won't work with the split view..

16-50mm not wide enough?

place oring or gasket between the wet dome & camera when you screw it in.

are you doing split levels rarely, or will this be a frequent action?

Rentals could cover the first. Looking at the used market could be the answer for the second. The digital market moves so fast and that leaves a lot of HW behind, esp for people who downsized for luggage weight from the APC size to the 1" or 4/3rds.
