Let's make the forum great again!

I remember the SW of England being very good for photographing mist and rain. In fact I was told the native people of that region didn't actually have a word for "sun"!

but ancient Brits certainly appreciated the sun

sadly I did not get serious about photography until I returned from my near 2 years in fair Albion

I think the old Celts loved it so, because they so so little of it

went over 6 months in which it rained every day when I served Her Majesty on the ORHA NHS

perhaps one of the most photogenic corners of this fair world

btw, the ancient Welsh used the word heulo ...I believe they were in the SW, but I could be wrong

From June to August, fine weather is the norm.

I am still impressed by the IQ of the DLux4. It is sad to see the 2 copies that we had suffered from the same problem, dust on sensor.

Best,

I looked that up on google and all I get are some vague references to sighting of a strange orange disk in the sky and speculation as to what it might be:-)

OK....here are my 2 cents' worth in this effort....both taken with the MTyp240

This is a great Forum, everyone will have his or her ideas about any individual image. Mostly it's the wordage that is used.. I put my hands up to being somewhat critical when in reality a Nice' would have been the better choice of words..L

Daniel! It is so great to see you posting here again, I missed your thoughtful photography. I hope you are well.

Thanks for the nice set, no 2 and no 3 are my favourites.

Thank you, Art for your colourful contribution. I have a small image that I found the other day in my folders and made me think of you. Not a technically good image but I hope you accept it as a small token of my appreciation for your contributions to the forum

Come on everyone, let's inject some optimism and positive spirit in the forum!

Please post what you consider your best 2-3 images from the last couple of years, preferably using a Leica camera, but not necessarily so, so we can all enjoy some great photography.

yes I wish I had skipped the M240 and then I could have a ten now or not sigh. I did love the color on the 8 and 9 for sure.

Still holding your M9, John? I do - and was now digging agin into my Canadian adventure files from some time back and found these, too :

(don't ask me why the girls and beach shots were taken with ISO 1250 though - if I had had some Mau Tai before, that would have explained it, but during these sunny hours even a welcomed Tequila would have to wait for the Happy Hour...
