Just returned from casual couples Ring Road trip and Iceland is all it's cracked up to be from a photographic standpoint. A number of shots seemed to lend themselves to black and white so played with my Silver Efex Pro plug-in using LR3. All shot handheld with my trusty NEX6 (which is more waterproof than I would have guessed!) Used the kit 1650 a bunch and pretty satisfied but some with the 1018 and 55-210 zoom. New to B&W editing so any C &C appreciated. Thanks

Really like the whale tail pic, others are nice too!

Good use of B&W - image content and the monocolored expression make a good fit. Also like the contrast and tonality chosen.

Given the title of the thread - where are the colors? Would like to see a few colorscapes...

(sorry, could not help it :) )

Fantastic images, thanks for sharing. I especially like Seljalandsfoss - the way the water seems to fall out of the sky. Superb!

Such an amazing place in Color or B&W.

A few of the more colorful ones...

Good to see some color images too (given the title of the tread).

One place - two different worlds (B&W + color). Not bad! ;-)

Personally I like the black/white versions much more. Most strikingly so the two versions of Seljalandsfoss. In color it looks like, well, just another waterfall, in b/w it looks "epic" like the entire sky just opened up!
