Also found too easily with Google...Chaco Culture National Historical Park, New Mexico. Try a different one Brian.

Yeah - OK, I'll try another. I'd hoped the unusual angle of the photo might have made this challenge last longer (most photos I've seen are taken from a higher perspective).

This might help narrow down the geographical location:

The town is 298 km north-west from the capital of this Australian state.

No idea really but I suppose it's around Hobart. So I'll hazard a guess, with little confidence of being correct - D'Entrecastreaux Channel.
