Hah, looks like that guy let the tires flare the fenders, as needed.

I find it appealing too, David.

Well found - looks like a stencil artist may be on the loose ;-)

Thanks Erik, and yes it is some kind of stencil artist.

This art is "acrylic on steel" :-) , and I found it on a steel hatch on a wall in Tallinn old town, Estonia. The funny thing is that this "portrait" was in a horizontal position on the hatch, so I'm not sure if it even was intended as a portrait? Not until I turned the picture (90 degrees) vertically did I realize that it was resembling a portrait, and even a reasonably interesting portrait :-)

Wonderful, those old age artists really had imagination.

Jahn

A really good creation.

Jahn

Well spotted.

There is really "a feeling" in that picture.

Jahn

In this picture you can really "hear" the talk by the people and he "cling" sound by the glasses :-)

Jahn

:-)

This is one of those shots that I'm not totally sure about so it seems fitting to post it here wondering if it's art. I only shot this one composition and I wish that I had worked it more and take a variety of shots with different compositions to see if there was a better image in there. But sometimes I've found that the first shot using your gut reaction is best so I'm not really sure if something else could've worked better or not.

In this case - and having seen more of your oeuvre, I'm inclined to think that your first 'gut reaction' is just fine.
That's nice of you to say Erik, thanks. I keep coming back to it every so often because it interests me so maybe that's enough to make it successful, at least to me.

Viking 9 posted at the end of last week's thread, an interesting Architectural detail:

Devil and Lovers, Rosslyn Chapel, Scotland. Sculpted early 15th century.

View: original size

Taken on a visit to Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland (featured in the movie "The Da Vinci Code") with an Olympus C-2500L in June 2001.

Photography inside the chapel has since been banned.

This reminded me of the corbels I have "holding up" the beams in my "Great Room". This one, in the dining area, is my favorite:

These are both really cool and yours is particularly beautiful Erik.

Thank you, Erik.
