what replacement foot did you buy and why?
I replaced my Nikon 400 f2.8E FL VR foot with one from Benro. It has a padded top for comfortable transporting upside down in your hand and an Arca Swiss mounting. Works perfectly. Here is the one for the 600 f4:what replacement foot did you buy and why?

I like that the Benro has the padded section not unlike the OEM foot. Unfortunately, just like the OEM foot, its not long enough to balance the 600E when using a light camera like the D500/D850 w/o the grip. This is why I kept the OEM foot and went with an extra-long plate.I replaced my Nikon 400 f2.8E FL VR foot with one from Benro. Agreed Calson...they just seem intent on replicating Nikon's design by adding arca-swiss compatibility...unfortunately they completely missed Nikon's design mistake.I don't understand why Kirk and RRS and others make such short replacement feet for these lenses. Guess they are trying to have bragging rights on the lightest foot but this is silly as saving an ounce with a foot makes little difference with a 8 lb. lens.
I live in the UK and choose a Jobu Design UK products replacement foot (http://www.jobudesign.co.uk/replace...acement_Foot_for_Nikon_400F2.8,_600F4_800F5.6)
This is why I bought the Jobu Design UK products replacement foot - it is 1" longer (http://www.jobudesign.co.uk/replace...acement_Foot_for_Nikon_400F2.8,_600F4_800F5.6)I got the RRS LCF-18 but i find its not long enough as I would like it to be when balanced on the wimberly WH-200 gimbal.
